About You

Qualifications: MSc in Air Quality related discipline. Membership of Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) or other relevant professional body preferable.

Knowledge / Experience: You will demonstrate an awareness of the following areas: Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Advanced Dispersion Modelling Software (e.g. ADMS, ADMS-Roads), Air Quality Monitoring, Local Air Quality Management (LAQM), IPPC/LA-IPPC Odour Assessment, Geographical Information Systems (GIS). Additional awareness in the following areas would be advantageous, but not essential: Indoor Air Quality, Bioaerosol Monitoring and Assessment.

Technical Skills / Ability: You will demonstrate good skills in the following areas: Technical Writing, Analytical Thinking and Communication. You will also demonstrate strong skills in the application of MS Excel and/or Access in the interrogation and manipulation of large numerical datasets. Experience of the use of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming language would be advantageous.
